Hi! I’m STEPHANIE BALLESTEROS
I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain, and moved to Houston in 2012 to pursue my dream of becoming a Mental Health Therapist. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology from Universitat Abat Oliba CEU in Barcelona in 2012, and earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2016. I have been practicing for over 10 years. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Texas and a Certified Sex Therapist. I provide therapy in English, Spanish, and Catalan, offering support in whichever language feels most comfortable for you.
I am deeply committed to providing personal and compassionate care. Every person I work with is unique, and I take the time to understand your experiences, needs, and goals. My approach blends Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman skills, and a systems-oriented perspective, giving you practical tools to navigate emotions, strengthen connection, and build healthier patterns in your relationships — starting with the one you have with yourself.
While our work focuses on your present experiences and challenges, we often explore your past as well — not to dwell on it, but to understand how earlier experiences, family dynamics, and relationships may influence your current patterns and interactions with others. By uncovering these connections, we can see the roots of recurring challenges and develop strategies that honor your needs, desires, and personal growth.
